The unprecedented pace of Bible translation in the world today—3,801 active projects and counting—has led to a critical shortage of qualified translation consultants. Every new translation of God’s Word goes through a rigorous process supervised by a trained consultant looking for accuracy, clarity, and naturalness.
Andrew and Sophia currently serve with the SIL Southern Africa Service Group (SOA) in South Africa, where they are training as Bible translation consultants. SOA serves minority language communities in 17 countries where 120+ languages remain without any Scripture. Andrew is trained as a linguist and translator. Sophia is a specialist and researcher in Biblical Hebrew. Both are equipped to work in English and French-speaking countries. Having been introduced to Deaf culture and sign language Bible translation in South Africa, Andrew and Sophia serve together as exegetes and translation advisors for the South African Sign Language Bible Translation Project.
Andrew and Sophia can only serve in this way with a committed team of prayer and financial partners. They would be honored for you to join their Wycliffe ministry, bringing God’s Word to the Bibleless peoples of southern Africa!

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
