David and Christy have been serving mountain communities of Asia with Wycliffe since 2005. Initially, they worked with the Luso community, an unreached mountain group of 150,000 speakers. They partnered with a few Luso believers to translate and produce a set of oral Bible stories into the Luso language. As that project progressed, believers in neighboring language communities asked to begin Bible storytelling projects in their languages.
Now David serves in a wider leadership role planning and managing Bible translation and Scripture engagement projects. Christy's role is to coordinate the care and educational needs of missionary kids.
In 2022, David and Christy relocated to the US to be closer to family and meet the educational needs of their growing children. Due to their network of long standing relationships, they are able to continue to serve in their roles to support the work of Bible translation and Scripture engagement remotely, with occasional visits to Asia.
David and Christy are actively seeking those who would like to be a part of what God is doing in the mountains of Asia by becoming a prayer and/or financial partner. Please prayerfully consider joining their Wycliffe ministry team to bring God’s Word to these remote people groups.

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
