The Murphys’ Wycliffe journey has included living with the Nahu (Iyo) people of Papua New Guinea. With the help of others, they started a school, built an airstrip, and produced the first alphabet and literature in that language. They forged the foundation for Bible translation (now completed) in that remote community. They developed meaningful relationships which endure to this day. After returning stateside, they worked in administration, an assignment they performed with conviction.
Now, they write quarterly Updates on behalf of national Bible translators around the globe, informing their prayer and financial partners of their progress. Since they have “been there," they are able to write with purpose and insight.
They say it has been an amazing privilege, to have worked with Wycliffe since 1984. The Murphys have a remarkable team of people behind them, chosen by God. Please partner with the Murphys’ Wycliffe ministry.

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
