Doug and Beth Wright have served in the Eastern Congo Group (DRC) for over 30 years, helping to build capacity in national Bible translation projects through training, consulting and developing tools. They lived among the Logo people, trained national teams, and worked with them to develop a writing system and a literacy program and to translate the Logo New Testament (published in 2015). Doug is currently the primary translation consultant for the Mangbetu New Testament translation project serving about 800,000 speakers. He also leads development of the French Model Translation, a tool that is helping translation teams throughout French-speaking Africa produce more accurate, clear and natural translations in significantly less time.

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
