THE WYCLIFFE MINISTRY OF

James & Monique Arritt

James & Monique Arritt

The Arritts served with SIL in a SE Asian country beginning in 2010, primarily in mother tongue Christian education, in Bible translation. Most recently, they served as regional supervisors of language programs and as Bible-based trauma healing facilitator trainers.

In March of 2020, they were ready to return to SE Asia after a home assignment when the pandemic hit. While the country's borders were closed, they served as remote supervisors and as part of the country group's leadership team. During this time they also began their work as trauma healing facilitators, serving both domestically and overseas via zoom. Since then, they have felt God leading them to expand their ministry beyond that SE Asian country exclusively. James wrapped up as remote regional supervisor of at the end of May 2023 and they now are both members of the SIL International Global Trauma Healing Services Leadership Team.

As members of the Leadership Team, the Arritts serve globally through training and mentoring Bible-based healing group facilitators and trainers worldwide, helping build locally sustainable programs, supervising local translations of the materials, and doing materials development. Monique is a Master Facilitator in both the Classic and Story-based Bible-based trauma healing methods. James is a Master Facilitator in the Classic and a Master Facilitator in Training in the Story-based method. Monique focuses primarily on Asia and James primarily on West Asia and the Caucuses. Both help train others in the Bible-based healing group version for special non-Christian audiences.

One of the great joys of being on the SIL Global Trauma Healing Leadership Team has been connecting with and mentoring people all over the world, from Southeastern Asia all the way to West Asia and the Caucuses, including refugee populations living in the USA.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
