THE WYCLIFFE MINISTRY OF

Jim & Sarah Park

Jim & Sarah Park

Jim and Sarah Park first heard about Wycliffe in 1986, when Wycliffe missionaries shared at their church. Within a few months they were starting their journey into Wycliffe by going through Wycliffe and JAARS interviews and training and were assigned to work as Center Manager and Hostess in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso after spending 18 months in Quebec, Canada learning French. After serving for three years in Burkina Faso, they were asked to be in charge of building Wycliffe's new translation and literacy center in Niamey, Niger... Fast-forward several years and they were assigned as Area Director and Center Hostess for Northern Cameroon in 2012, but in late 2017, after having Boko Haram come looking for them, they were reassigned to Central African Republic, where they did much-needed support roles before taking retirement in 2025.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
