THE WYCLIFFE MINISTRY OF

John & Brena Bruner

John & Brena Bruner

John and Brena have recently returned to the U.S., but are still involved in Bible translation work in the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea (PNG). John serves as the Intern Coordinator, mentoring and training Papua New Guineans and Solomon Islanders who are training to become translation consultants. The goal is that they will be able to take on roles that have traditionally been held by expatriate missionaries. John is also a translation consultant and makes regular trips to the Solomon Islands and PNG to do consultant checks on translations in a number of different languages. Brena was part of the Staff Care department at the Wycliffe center in Papua New Guinea and will be looking for a similar role at a Wycliffe center in the U.S..

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
