John and Donna met in Mexico City in 1983 and were married in Oregon the following year, both having experienced the call of God on their lives to serve Him in cross cultural missions and Bible translation. They feel blessed to have been involved with the Guevea (gay-VAY-ah) Zapotec people of southern Mexico in the translation and audio recording of the Guevea Zapotec New Testament (NT), printed in 2018. NT distribution was begun in Guevea in 2019 and its formal dedication took place on March 14, 2020. John and Donna thank God for the churches and individuals that have prayed for and supported this project through the years to make it possible for the Guevea Zapotecs to read and/or hear God’s Word in their heart language.
The Kreutzes are currently living in Oregon, making occasional trips to Mexico to facilitate distribution of the NT and other Scripture and literacy materials. While working remotely In Oregon, they stay in touch with Zapotec church leaders and encourage them in promoting use of these materials in the communities where Guevea Zapotec is spoken. While not working directly with their Zapotec team members, they do exegetical checking and clerical work on Old Testament books that have already been drafted by native speakers. They are also working on the completion of a Zapotec-Spanish bilingual dictionary-grammar.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget
Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
