In 1993 John and Susan began service in Mozambique, Africa with the Meetto Bible Translation project in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. From 2006 to 2015 John served as the Language Programs Manager and then as SIL Branch Director in Nampula, Mozambique. Since 2015 John has worked under the Seed Company as a translation consultant in Mozambique, Angola and Guinea Bissau and now as their Director of Translation Consulting. Susan home schooled their four children through grade 8 and later served eight years as HR coordinator for SIL Mozambique. Currently she works with John as his admin assistant. The Meetto New Testament was dedicated in 2021 and John and Susan moved to Pennsylvania. They still travel extensively, often together. The Isemingers are thankful for your partnership with Wycliffe and prayer for them and for those yet without the Bible in their own language.

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
