THE WYCLIFFE MINISTRY OF

Jonathan & Tina Thomas

Jonathan & Tina Thomas

When Jon and Tina Thomas were married in 1999, God had already placed a desire in their hearts for missions. That desire turned into a passion to see Bibleless people around the world be able to read God's Word in their heart language. Jon and Tina joined Wycliffe in 2004, to serve Bible translation through aviation; Jon is an airplane/helicopter mechanic.

The Thomas family served overseas for 6 years in Papua, Indonesia, where rats and malaria were just a few of their adventures. It was there that they saw airplanes carry translators to their villages, sick people to medical help, and Bibles to those who had never read of God's love for them. In 2012, the Thomas family had to leave Indonesia unexpectedly, but they took an assignment stateside and now serve at the JAARS center in Waxhaw, North Carolina. While they don't have any rats and malaria, the Thomas family still has adventures and they are still supporting Bible translation around the world.

Jon and Tina are thankful for the team of partners the Lord has given them who pray, give to their Wycliffe ministry, and encourage so that their family can serve the Lord.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
