Josh grew up in Columbia, Missouri, developing a passion for prayer, discipleship, and teaching the Bible. At the University of Missouri, Josh studied linguistics and classical languages and served international students with Chi Alpha Christian ministry. During that time, he became keenly interested in translating the impact of the Word into modern contexts and felt called to serve the many communities of the world who need the Scriptures. Josh is now pursuing this call by doing research to support oral translation teams around the world and by serving as a member of the translation team for the Spoken English Bible.

Katie grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where she studied music education at Western Michigan University before teaching at a secondary school in The Netherlands. She also spent two years working in the Middle East. Through studying both translation and ethnoarts at Dallas International University (DIU), she has developed a keen interest in promoting meaningful communication of Scripture through the songs, stories, poetry, and other artistic forms of each cultural context. She continues to pursue this direction through serving as an SIL International Arts Consultant, Advisor for the Psalms: Layer by Layer project, and as an Associate Instructor for a variety of courses at DIU.

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
