Karen and Binu were married in August 2018 and returned to South Asia in December 2018 to help make God's word more accessible to those around them. Binu serves as a Volunteer Field Coordinator for Global Partnerships in Wycliffe. One of the many projects he is helping facilitate is the national sign language translation of this country. Karen is working with 12 local communities who recently received translations of God's word. The goal is to help them understand and use their local arts to engage with the Scriptures.
The arts (music, dance, drama, painting, storytelling, etc.) are all ways of communicating that have unique meaning in each culture. In the same way that we want everyone to worship God and hear His word in their own "heart language," we also desire that they use their own art forms to express their worship. The arts are also extremely useful for education, health care, trauma healing, and community development.
Karen also teaches the Culture Meets Scripture course online and is pursuing another Graduate degree in Scripture Engagement so that she can expand her skills. All of this training benefits her role with a local church planting agency to train their mother-tongue translators and church planters.
Binu and Karen adopted Zehna in 2022 and Ashraya in 2024. They are learning to balance their ministry with family life.
Karen is seeking prayer and financial partners in this Wycliffe ministry. Please prayerfully consider how you can be involved.

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
