THE WYCLIFFE MINISTRY OF

Lee & Karen Wood

Lee & Karen Wood

In 1992 Lee and Karen joined Wycliffe to help bring God’s Word to those who do not have it in their own language. God called them and their children to Papua New Guinea in 1993 where over 830 languages are spoken and more than 280 of these languages are still without Scripture. Lee worked as a missionary aircraft mechanic and Karen served as a nurse for the next 22 years. In 2014 God changed their direction and they are now serving Wycliffe here in the United States. Lee is working an outside job to supplement their income while Karen serves full-time with Wycliffe in the Member Care department. Having had 25 years of experience as missionaries themselves, it is their prayer that God uses her to provide guidance, support and care to the missionaries assigned to her who face many unique challenges working cross-culturally around the world.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
