THE WYCLIFFE MINISTRY OF

Lynda Wick

Lynda Wick

Lynda works as the Scripture Use coordinator for the Northeast region of Papua New Guinea. In her role, Lynda comes alongside local churches, communities, and the 33 translation teams in the Madang and Morobe provinces, to assist them in engaging the people of these language groups with God’s Word, that has been translated into their local language. Lynda supports Bible translation programs and language communities by traveling to these villages and facilitating workshops (Culture Meets Scripture, Using Your Bible, Trauma Healing, Bible Background, etc.) and by providing materials promoting the use and understanding of Scripture, leading to transformed lives. She also provides training opportunities to encourage Scripture engagement skills in communities, and to train others (both national and expat) to offer similar workshops. This assistance increases the likelihood of the completed translation being used by the language group long after the translator leaves.

Please consider how you might partner with Lynda in her Wycliffe ministry financially or in prayer.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
