THE WYCLIFFE MINISTRY OF

Marvin & Suzanne Beachy

Marvin & Suzanne Beachy

As a child Marvin felt called to missions, but did not see himself as a pastor or preacher. As a teenager, he read the book, Peace Child, and realized Bible translation could be his perfect niche. This conviction only grew, and after learning to know Suzanne he was happy to find that she was willing to pursue such a venture with him. The Beachys first arrived in Ethiopia in 1995. After moving to the southwestern part of the country they began learning the local language and helping the Dizi community to develop a writing system for their language, Dizin. At this point Genesis and the New Testament has been drafted and portions have been printed. Marvin and Suzanne consider it a privilege to be a part of the task of equipping Dizi pastors and the church as a whole with God's Word – a privilege which extends to all those God calls to partner with them in their Wycliffe translation ministry through faithful prayer and financial support.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
