Merrilee began work in Peru in 1983 as a physician assistant in a clinic on a Bible translation center in the Amazon river basin. After 10 years at that location, she joined linguists who were reaching out to an uncontacted group in the jungle. In the year 2000, she became part of a team working to get the Scripture to the Nahua/Yura people in their language.
Now Merrilee is helping produce materials to encourage the Nahua/Yura people to read Scripture. She is currently working part time on this, and caring for her mother.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget
Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
