What if only 2000 people in the whole world spoke English?
As one of those few English speakers you would recognize on sight the face of everyone who speaks your language. Every movie would be a foreign film. Whenever you went more than ten miles from home you would need to speak to people in another language. Would you ever write a letter to anyone? Would you have any books? Would you have the Bible?
The people of Mota Lava island in Vanuatu speak a language that is known by only 2000 people. Though they are few in number they are dear to God. They invited the Smiths to come and help translate the Bible into their language. You are welcome to join this great work however God leads you.

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
