Ray & Dee served 15 years as Bible translators among the Akawaio people of Guyana, South America, culminating in the published New Testament. Since 2010, they have been serving the Papua New Guinea Branch of Wycliffe, with Ray training Papua New Guinean translators at the Training Center in Ukarumpa and at regional centers around the country. This enables national translators to take greater ownership of the Bible translation task. Ray's job also includes being a linguistics consultant to expat missionaries, helping them to write linguistics articles that serve as a foundation for clear, consistent translation and literacy materials. Dee is a teacher at the primary campus of the international school in Ukarumpa, educating children of missionaries at work in PNG.

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
