THE WYCLIFFE MINISTRY OF

Ron & Roxanne Gebauer

Ron & Roxanne Gebauer

Thank you for your interest in the Wycliffe Bible translation ministry of Ron and Roxanne. Joining Wycliffe in 1989, they have served in a variety of roles, including international consulting and writing helps for translators. During the 1990s and again since 2010, they have been facilitating Bible translation for the Areare of Solomon Islands. The Areare are the second largest people group in the Solomons, with approximately 25,000 speakers.  Invited to work there by the Solomon Islands Christian Association, the Gebauers have good relationships with the churches and with Areare people, many of whom have been friends for decades.  Solomon Islands was closed for two years because of Covid-19. Now that it has reopened, Ron and Roxanne see an increased interest by Areare people in having the Bible in their language, and they are working with a new team of Areare translators.  Ron and Roxanne feel privileged to serve in this Bible Translation ministry. Please prayerfully consider how you might join them in their Wycliffe ministry by partnering with them in prayer or financially.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
