THE WYCLIFFE MINISTRY OF

Steve and Laraine Mann

Steve and Laraine Mann

During their twelve years in Peru, they helped the Amahuaca people prepare primers and start a school, trained a medical technician, and
mediated for them on government issues. Steve also held various administrative roles at the Yarinacocha translation support center.
Moving on to Nigeria in 1994, they motivated the Ngas to read their translated New Testament and to begin translating the Old Testament. Steve assisted in administration and as project funding coordinator for the SIL Group.
Transitioning to JAARS in 2005, they served in various roles. Most recently Steve held two jobs. He was the Script Coordinator for the vernacular media department and also processed funding requests to publish new Scriptures.
Laraine was a Volunteer Coordinator of the many who help to staff the large JAARS center. She previously ran the summer program for children of workers at JAARS and later served as a receptionist at the International Media Services Dept. with Steve.
As of Dec. 31, 2020, Steve and Laraine officially retired. Steve has continued working with Wycliffe on a volunteer basis. Any contributions should be preferenced for the Wycliffe retirement pension of Steve and Laraine Mann.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
