The Phillips family is serving in a country with over 100 languages. Timothy's main contribution is as Director for the branch where they serve, but he also serves as Academic Services Director. Rdeen, as Scripture Engagement Specialist, helps the people find ways to integrate Scripture into their lives. She is also serving as the Language Programs Director in her region. The region where they live has 20 languages with needs, although work has only begun in 5 of those languages so far. They are praying for more workers for the harvest, both from Wycliffe as well as from among the local people themselves. As much as possible, their goal is to train and empower the local people to do their own translation and language development.

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
