Before retirement, Jon and Juliet provided technical resources to support Bible translation, using specific abilities and talents that supported proclaiming the Gospel quicker, more accurately, and with greater impact. Julie provided media tools to translators to help people understand the Gospel, even before any translated Scripture has been printed. Jon managed the global email/Google administration team and sometimes provided computer network and server support to translation centers worldwide.
Both served in Papua New Guinea (6 months in 2010 and 3 months in 2014) and on a short-term media project in Indonesia (2019), Jon has also been to Kenya and Guinea-Bissau on short projects to provide computer network and internet solutions for local translation offices. Their testimony is that God leads and they follow.
They continue to volunteer part time. Juliet continues in the same role as before retirement and Jon is serving as a 'missions coach' (recruiter) for technical positions for Wycliffe and other Bible translation partners.
They would treasure your prayers. For financial gifts, please state, “Preference for the Wycliffe retirement pension of Jon and Julie Limmer."

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
