Stan and Patty have been serving as translators with the Bwaidoka people of Papua New Guinea. The Bwaidoka people keenly desire to have the Bible in their own language, so it has been a joy to be partnering with God in bringing His Word to them. The three Bwaidoka co-translators are a delight to work with, as well as a committee of thirty men and women who help with checking and distributing the translated Scriptures. Stan and Patty and the Bwaidoka people are rejoicing that the New Testament and Genesis have been recorded, a video has been made based on a gospel, and the New Testament is at the printers. The dedication in ’25 or ’26 will include providing the printed and also audio Scriptures on MegaVoices, a solar-powered listening device. Though Stan has changed his status to being retired, he is continuing to volunteer with Wycliffe. Patty is continuing full-time active status with Wycliffe, and is enjoying working with the translation team on the Old Testament, checking their work and making revision notes for them to work through. The Gibsons and the Bwaidoka people welcome your prayers for the translation team, their work, and the time coming soon when they will receive their New Testaments. Wycliffe Ministry Budget
Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
