Dan and Barb served in the task of Bible Translation using their gifts and training in administration and leadership for 44 years. They first worked in Sudan, then regionally in Africa prior to moving into their roles in the global leadership for Wycliffe's implementation partner - SIL International. Dan and Barb recently retired from their service with Wycliffe and moved from Germany to Sequim, Washington. Dan and Barb will receive Social Security retirement benefits and have also contributed to a retirement savings plan. Any financial gifts intended to contribute toward the Butler's retirement pension need to be marked: "Preference for the Wycliffe retirement pension of Dan and Barb Butler.”

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
