THE WYCLIFFE MINISTRY OF

Jason & Brenda Carwile

Jason & Brenda Carwile

The Pamosu translation project is a work towards translation and discipleship that the Carwiles have taken over leadership. The word "Pamosu" is their native word for lips. The Pamosu speakers are very proud of their language, with a strong representation in their youngest generations. These people are so remote that no land vehicle can reach them, requiring a 2-day hike to the nearest place to catch a vehicle. Then it is another day to reach the nearest major city, Madang. Though isolation reduces access to things like medical facilities and education, it also ensures the vibrancy and longevity of this beloved language. These people need the Word of God, just like everyone. Yet they are unlikely to receive it from a trade language like Tok Pisin or educational language like English. Pamosu is truly their heart language. Let us bring them the light of the Gospel, by the Word of God, for the transformation of lives into disciples of Christ.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
