Keith and Mary Beavon joined Wycliffe Bible Translators in 1972. Keith has MA degrees in linguistics and biblical studies and serves as a translation consultant where needed. He and Mary are presently at work on Bible translation projects in Cameroon and in Congo-Brazzaville. The Cameroon translation projects are facilitated by CABTAL and SIL-Cameroon. The Congolese project is being facilitated by SIL-Congo.
Since August 2015, Keith and Mary have been based in Michigan after 39 years of ministry in central Africa. They find that they can make progress in many aspects of the translation process through the internet. Some of their African colleagues lack access to the internet, so it is not a perfect solution and they must return to Africa for trips of a limited nature for face-to-face work as needed.

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
