THE WYCLIFFE MINISTRY OF

Lynn & Jeannette Conver

Lynn & Jeannette Conver

The Convers have been Wycliffe members since 1983. After completing their training, they served initially as linguist/translators for a group of Southeast Asian refugees in the Seattle area. More recently they have served in a variety of roles helping to bring God's Word to people groups who do not yet have it in a language or form they can understand. (Their twin daughters are also Wycliffe translators!)

Lynn's current assignment involves using his background in linguistics and translation as an editor. He typically works on technical resources that aid in the training of translators or in the administration of translation projects around the world. In addition, he enjoys presenting on behalf of Wycliffe at recruitment events, including the "Perspectives" course. He recently taught a class on Bible translation at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington.

The Convers moved to Vermont in September 2017, where Jeannette now serves as the pastor of Covenant Community Church on a part-time basis. She also continues to work part-time for Wycliffe as a Resource Coordinator (RC). RCs provide personnel services and encouragement for Wycliffe members returning from their first term of service until their retirement, answering questions and connecting them with various resources. She also debriefs teams—a crucial part of caring for them as they return home from the field to rest and refresh. Jeannette also hopes to assist in Wycliffe recruitment events in the New England area as her schedule allows!

Please prayerfully consider investing in Bible translation by becoming a prayer and financial partner with Lynn and Jeannette in their Wycliffe ministry!

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.

Help share God's Word today!
