The Meehans are in their 54th year of ministry with Wycliffe. They are thankful to the Lord for leading people like yourself to partner with them in ministry. They served 25 years in Colombia and Ecuador supporting translation and literacy projects among the indigenous communities. Al was a JAARS pilot, then became field Director in Colombia overseeing 22 translation projects. Having a prior law enforcement background, Al is working at the Global level of crisis management. Activities related to their ministry involved travel to Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Central America, Brazil, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia and Thailand in the course of their outreach for Christ to a dark, dangerous and lost world. Their ministry has born much fruit for the kingdom of God. Their current focus is related to addressing the global security threats that Wycliffe personnel face in an increasingly unstable world arena. Additionally, they are working with trafficked women and children in Thailand. Having new challenges as they approach 2025, they rely on your faithful prayers and financial support and the Word of God as, “…faithful is He who calleth you, who will also do it. I Thessalonians 5:24.

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
