Dave and Deb began serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Papua New Guinea in 1999. Dave was a pilot for 18 years, serving the remote Bible translation programs around the country before moving into administration and serving two years as the Director for Infrastructure Services and four years as Director. Deb has worked in various roles to support Bible translation, including finance, office administration, and youth work.
They have two sons, James (24) and Josiah (19). James is serving with the US Air Force, currently in Korea. Josiah is studying aviation maintenance in the hopes of becoming a mechanic for an airline in the USA.
The Bartons are now serving Bible translation in the Pacific region from the States. David is the interim director for the work in the Solomon Islands, helping to lead and transition the team to more local ownership. Deb is working remotely as part of the Finance Office team in Papua New Guinea.
We invite you to partner with the Barton's Wycliffe ministry as they strive to bring transformation through God's Word.

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
