THE WYCLIFFE MINISTRY OF

Bruce & Candice Beatham

Bruce & Candice Beatham

The Beathams have been facilitating a Bible Translation project in an area of Oaxaca, Mexico where a variety of the Mixtec language family is spoken. Beginning in 2003, their roles there have been in the areas of Bible translation, literacy, and linguistics, along with the everyday interactions that come along as part of living in a small rural community.Along the way, what was originally envisioned as a translation program for a single language area grew to the point that they are now involved in 3 different translations. There are also translation needs in other nearby towns, so they are looking forward to helping new members join the team to support them as they work in those villages.Having lived in Mexico for more than 20 years, the Beathams' ministry now also involves helping teams working all across the country in various ways. They are very involved in the management and administration of other language programs, training local-language speakers, and helping new teams begin projects in other areas.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
