Mike, a former U.S. Air Force pilot, and Eve, a speech-language pathologist, retired from Wycliffe Bible Translators on February 29, 2024, after serving 34 years of active missions work in Indonesia, Kenya (East Africa), and five years at JAARS Aviation in Waxhaw, North Carolina. Mike served primarily in aviation, and Eve served in literacy, multilingual education, and eleven years as a school speech-language pathologist at a missionary school in Indonesia. Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
