John & Rhonda are at the JAARS Center in NC serving in PR & recruitment. From 1998 to 2011, they served in Manila, Philippines at the Asia Area and Philippines headquarters. John's primary responsibility was in ER (External Relations) & VTS (Visa-Travel Services). Rhonda used her creative talents in teaching art and supporting John in ER. After graduation Daniel served 6 years in the U.S. Air Force and Michael is a Sophomore at the Univ of N.C. Previously the Strawsers served in Indonesia for 7+ years, John as a JAARS pilot serving almost 100 villages in the remote areas of east Indonesia. Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
