THE WYCLIFFE MINISTRY OF

David & Susan Howard

David & Susan Howard

The Howards have been working among the Adzera people of Papua New Guinea since 1999. David serves primarily as a translation advisor and mentor to Adzera speakers translating the Scriptures into their own mother tongue. He has a secondary assignment as a translation consultant, has been involved in training Papua New Guinean Bible translators, and has served short-term in various administrative roles over the years to meet critical needs. Susan teaches Adzera adult literacy classes and works with Adzera ladies to develop reading books and other literacy materials in the Adzera language. She is training to become a literacy consultant.

After a five-year remote assignment in the USA to help care for elderly parents and help their four children to get settled and become more independent, David and Susan returned to Papua New Guinea in July 2024 to live in the Adzera community and continue their work in translation, literacy, and promoting use of the Adzera Scriptures.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
