Jonathan and Carrie Federwitz have served as missionaries in Papua New Guinea (PNG) for 23 years. Using his experience from PNG, Jonathan now trains and prepares new pilots for mission field service.
During their time in PNG, Jonathan was a pilot who flew Bible translators and their supplies to and from remote areas throughout PNG.
While in PNG, Carrie’s primary role was looking after the home and family. Carrie also served part time as a primary school teacher. The school provided an education for missionary children, thus enabling their parents to focus on their ministries.
Jonathan and Carrie are now based at the JAARS center in Waxhaw, NC, to train and prepare new pilots for missionary service overseas. JAARS provides practical, day-to-day support to make Bible Translation possible. The JAARS aviation headquarters provides training for missionary pilots serving around the world.
Jonathan and Carrie have four adult children: Nathan, Julia, Leah & Rachel.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget
Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
