THE WYCLIFFE MINISTRY OF

Eric & Mary Lynn Kindberg

Eric & Mary Lynn Kindberg

For 43 years, since 1981 Mary Lynn and Eric served as members of Wycliffe and SIL International. They worked in translation, literacy, and Scripture engagement with the Quechuas (Peru), Mapuches (Chile), and Guaymi (Panama). In 2005 they moved to a regional center in the Charlotte, NC area where Eric served as a Scripture engagement consultant. In 2011 Eric began working on the management team for Global Publishing Services, SIL International’s academic publishing arm. He helped push to publication academic research that undergirds Bible translation, training, and language development worldwide. He networked with editors, authors, consultants, and the management team to publish digital and print books. A successful translation program requires fluency in the native language. Mary Lynn taught, advised, and coached missionaries in methodologies for acquiring a new language on the field. Eric & Mary Lynn retired October 31st, 2024, but continue volunteering with Wycliffe. Son Jonathan is a bilingual pastor in the Anglican Church of North America. He and his wife Lini minister in Austin, TX. Daughter Christine is married to Stephen Sloat. She is an editor for Tyndale House Publishing and author of a Christy Award-winning novel. They are expecting their first child in November 2024. Eric & Mary Lynn value those who pray with them as they transition to this new phase. Any continued contributions must be preferenced for Eric & Mary Lynn’s Wycliffe retirement pension.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
