Melissa Omand is a new Wycliffe Member Volunteer and travels from Massachusetts to Wycliffe in Dallas, TX to be involved in member care. She joined Wycliffe because of her appreciation for the work of ministers and missionaries and feels called by God to support those in Bible translation for the Bibleless people of the world.
Melissa received her graduate training in professional counseling from Liberty University. The internship with Wycliffe USA Counseling Ministries will allow her to fulfill the calling she has from God to meet the psycho-social spiritual needs of those in missions. Her work will allow missionaries to deal with the stress and demand of living in difficult and often unsettled locations to continue the work of Bible translation.
Thank you for considering partnering with Melissa in prayer and praise as she pursues this mission work here in the USA. She does not have a Ministry Budget as described below, but for her assignment, Melissa pays upfront costs and then presents IRS-approved Business receipts to Wycliffe for reimbursement. Your gifts in preference for her Wycliffe ministry will help Melissa have funds with which she can be reimbursed.
How long shall I take counsel in my soul,
Having sorrow in my heart daily? Ps 13:2
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning;
And a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: Pr 1:5

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
