THE WYCLIFFE MINISTRY OF

Paul & Kristin Humber

Paul & Kristin Humber

Paul & Kristin Humber have been living in Yaoundé, Cameroon since 2021 following 18 years of service in the Republic of Congo. They have worked with various aspects of language assessment and development, translation and project implementation. Much of their time in Congo was dedicated to the production of the New Testament in the Vili language. This was dedicated in 2021. They continue their involvement as members of SIL-Congo, by assisting on various levels with projects in 16 minority languages. Paul has also worked as a travelling consultant for Seed Company in a neighboring Gabonese language (Punu) for which they produced an updated and recorded version of Luke and Acts. He has also helped to develop some Old Testament resources for translators in a project funded through Every Tribe Every Nation.

Since 2022, Paul has taken on a consulting role for a full-Bible project in the Zulgo language of northern Cameroon. Kristin continues to work as project-funding coordinator for SIL-Congo. She also serves as a part-time teacher at one of the local schools for children of the greater mission’s community. Additionally, she serves on the board of Rain Forest International School where Timothy attends eighth grade. Paul and Kristin, along with their son Timothy, typically return to the US during school breaks in the summer to work remotely and spend time with their three daughters and other family and friends.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
