Paul grew up in Mexico, the son of two Wycliffe translators working on translating the Bible into a Mixtec language. Hope's parents are Wycliffe support workers, and their family also spent time in Mexico, living there her first three years of high school. Paul and Hope longed to serve God in missions someday, and had the opportunity to volunteer with Wycliffe for six months at the SIL center in Mitla, Oaxaca, Mexico over the summer and fall of 2016. After returning, they joined Wycliffe as members and returned to Mitla at the beginning of 2019, where they continue to serve, seconded to SIL. Paul works in IT, fixing computers and keeping the SIL center's internet and other technology running. Hope does bookkeeping in the center finance office. They recognize how greatly God has blessed them in allowing them to live in a place they love, helping translators to bring God's message to indigenous people groups in Mexico.

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
