Gerson and Katie serve in Guatemala with their four young children. Gerson worked for the Guatemalan translation organization as a translator in his mother tongue, Poqomchi, from 2012-2017. In 2018, he joined Wycliffe and currently serves as a Language Technology and Publication Specialist, helping with IT and typesetting in the Americas. Gerson is currently working with 3 Mayan languages in Guatemala (including Poqomchi) as they prepare for publication. Katie currently serves as a Translation Consultant and keeps everything at home running smoothly.
Gerson and Katie met in Guatemala when Katie arrived in 2012 for her first assignment. They were married in 2017, welcomed their son Lucas in 2018, their twin daughters Emilia and Olivia in 2019, and their son Nathan in 2021. After some some time in the U.S. they returned to Guatemala in early 2022 to help bring the projects they had been a part of to completion. They are excited to see several language groups in Guatemala gain access to the complete Bible.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget
Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
