God has given Crystal a way to utilize her passion for languages, people, and His Word. Crystal served in Papua New Guinea for 10 years, filling various roles, including language surveyor, language program coordinator, Scripture use worker, and culture and language teacher for new members.
God has now directed her to a new adventure. After her home assignment in the U.S., Crystal hopes to leave to serve in Peru in November 2023. She will be helping at CILTA (Curso Internacional de Lingüística Traducción y Alfabetización - International Linguistics, Translation, and Literacy Course), the linguistic training school for Latin Americans. Crystal is excited to use her teaching skills and experience in Papua New Guinea, to equip Latin Americans for the work of Bible Translation.
She will also do some Scripture Use work, helping Peruvians engage with Scripture with their own languages.
In order to leave for Peru in November, Crystal needs to have 100% of the ministry budget Wycliffe sets for her. You can be a part of how God is advancing His Kingdom through Bible Translation. Please consider partnering with Crystal in her Wycliffe ministry through prayer, giving financially, or with encouragement!

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
